About Loki-360 from the beginning...

Built from $80, a second chance,

 and one hell of a reason to never quit.

I started Loki-360 Tactical with my last $80. No investors. No big business plan. No warehouse full of inventory. No idea of what lies ahead or how to create it.

I bought a few items. Sold them. Used that money to buy a few more. Then I did it over again.

Today, Loki-360 has a small warehouse, a small office, customers around the world—and some pretty gigantic dreams.

But the real story behind this company started long before the first order was ever shipped.

Sometimes life changes in a second.

Before Loki-360, I was living my life and building my future when everything changed.

I was hit from behind by a distracted truck driver, who was looking down at his phone while traveling 65 mph. He never touched his brakes. The impact was catastrophic and spun me into oncoming traffic, where I was struck head-on and ultimately pushed into a brick wall.

Surviving shouldn't have been the likely outcome.

Somehow, I did.

What followed were years of surgeries, physical therapy, pain, and re-learning how to do things I once took for granted. It took years before I could stand and walk unassisted at any meaningful distance.

And I want to be clear about something: that isn't where the story of my injuries ended. Survival and Recovery aren't the same thing.

I am NOT HEALED. I didn't somehow beat the pain, build a business, and ride off into the sunset. I still live with tremendous pain every single day. And, I am still having surgeries and procedures to this very day trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together.

Some days, simply doing the ordinary things most of us never think twice about requires more from me than I know how to explain.

I've learned to function through it. I've learned to smile through it. I go to work, exercise as best I can, walk Loki, run this company, and keep trying to build a life. Because people see me doing those things, they sometimes assume the battle must be behind me.

It isn't. Strength isn't the absence of struggle. Sometimes strength is struggling like hell and showing up anyway.

There are still days when I have to remind myself: Don't give up just yet. Give it one more day. Tomorrow hasn't been written yet.

That's why “Stay Strong. Never Quit.” in our brand motto means so much to me. It isn't something a marketing company came up with and put underneath our logo. That motto is mine, I live those words. And, most days I have to tell them to myself multiple times.

I've simply had to learn how to keep living a meaningful life while carrying something heavy I can't put down. Excessive Pain.

And maybe that's part of why you're here reading this.

If you're carrying something heavy of your own, I won't pretend to know exactly what you're going through. But I do know what it's like to hurt. I know what it's like to be exhausted from fighting a battle other people can't see. And I know what it's like to wonder how you're supposed to keep doing it tomorrow....

Sometimes you don't need to figure out tomorrow. Sometimes you just need to make it through Today.

I'm still here. I'm still fighting. And I'm pulling for you, too.

Eventually, I had to accept something I never expected: my old life wasn't coming back.

At 46 years old at the time of the accident, permanently disabled and facing no real employment opportunities, I had two choices...

I could give up—or I could build something new for myself.

So I created my own job. Then I started down that long road unknowing if I would make money or be successful. 

Then there's Loki.

Loki is my service dog, my Son, my best friend, and the reason this company carries his name.

Loki was beside me through some of the hardest days of my life. When my body wasn't cooperating, when life didn't look anything like I thought it would, and when quitting would have been easier, Loki was there.

His loyalty never changed based on what kind of day I was having.

He is a true Angel, and most days I do not feel that I deserve his love and attention because he is that amazing.

Loki-360 Tactical name explained.

Loki-360 means "Everything Loki" and 360 is a perfect circle. Inside that circle is Loki, my everything, my world. The Tactical part of the name is me. I am definitely considered an enthusiast, with quite an incredible collection of things that go Pew. I do not have any "Safe Queens". Everything gets it's turn sending Freedom Nuggets down range.

I took 4 years of training under an instructor inside a class. I was lucky enough to be the only Civilian who was able to join the class at that level. And, everyone made sure I earned my right to be there. 

I had the great opportunity to learn from the other men in my class who had Law Enforcement, and Military backgrounds. Combined with my Instructor, I definitely came out the other side with Strength, Knowledge, and a better understanding of Self Defense and Situational Awareness OODA.

And, since I had a passion for all things Pew. It was obvious that I would make the store themed after what I loved. Loki-360 Tactical was born. 

After the years went by, we noticed our customers and even ourselves shortening the name down to just Loki-360. And, we are just fine with that. 

That's why this company stands for something.
